The killer dad of snooker ace Ronnie O'Sullivan takes a break on day release from prison - to watch his son on TV.
The lifer - caged in 1992 - has been released from Sudbury jail in Derbyshire to work at Save The Children as he prepares for life on the outside.
An onlooker said: "Ronnie left work at lunch and went straight to a nearby barber's which had a telly with the snooker on.
"He was clearly desperate to see his boy in action.
"At 4pm he ducked out of work again for 20 minutes to catch up with the score."
The source added: "His bosses didn't appear to mind."
Ronnie snr got 18 years for the knife murder of Bruce Bryan, a driver for East End gangster Charlie Kray.
He is due out in April and has been working at the shop in Allestree, Derby.
He was snapped on Thursday when Ronnie, 34, was playing Peter Ebdon at Wembley Arena.
The star was playing in the final last night.
Former Met police commander John O'Connor said: "He was convicted of a very serious crime. He should be under very close supervision and certainly not be allowed to nip off to watch a bit of telly. The rules should be strict."
